Procurement - Direct Procurement Manager

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Head of Direct Procurement to formulate and support the implementation of a comprehensive direct procurement strategy for the portfolio.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends which may have positive or negative impacts developing strategies to leverage or mitigate these.
Oversee portfolio performance. Formulate and implement actions to achieve performance goals.
Enforce corporate governance in the team. Ensure full compliance.
Lead engagement with departments and teams internally, constructively challenging requirements as well as identifying and capitalising on synergies identified.
Develop and execute negotiation strategies for key high value/volume contracts and tenders within assigned remit.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 5-years’ relevant experience
University graduate in a relevant discipline
Procurement & category management knowledge a must
Experienced in the procurement of food with detailed knowledge of both the Hong Kong and overseas markets
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong data analytics and numerical abilities
Logical and detailed-minded with experience in process improvement
Personable with strong leadership and people management skills
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of accounting principles as well as commercial contracting
Ability to inspire and foster trust and respect amongst colleagues, peers and key stakeholders
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
