Procurement - Indirect Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the indirect procurement strategy for operational and professional services categories.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends which may have positive or negative impacts across the subsidiaries developing strategies to leverage or mitigate these.

  • Lead engagement with departments and teams across the subsidiaries, constructively challenging requirements as well as identifying and capitalising on synergies identified.

  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for key high value/volume contracts and tenders within assigned remit.

  • Monitor performance of central procurement team for the handling of tasks relating to indirect procurement categories.

  • Appraise, manage, motivate and develop direct reports providing sufficient levels of support to enable successful category management.

  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • University graduate in a relevant discipline.

  • Minimum 5-years’ relevant experience. Experienced in the procurement with detailed knowledge of both the Hong Kong and overseas markets is highly preferred.

  • Procurement & category management knowledge a must.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong data analytics and numerical abilities.

  • Logical and detailed-minded with experience in process improvement.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of accounting principles as well as commercial contracting.

  • Ability to inspire and foster trust and respect amongst colleagues, peers and key stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
