Procurement - Assistant Manager, Direct Procurement

Responsibilities
Identifying and driving category opportunities in conjunction with client departments and your supervisors.
Developing market-informed category strategies and assisting the Head of Direct Procurement with subsequent implementation (in collaboration with business units) for relevant categories of spend.
Leading end-to-end sourcing processes, from market research, RFP preparation, financial analysis, negotiation and evaluation to contracting.
Collating market intelligence and provide feedback on product and commercial information to relevant stakeholders.
Executing, in collaboration with business units, performance measurements for managing on-going supplier relationships; and continually seek improvements from the supply market.
Leading contract and commercial negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best value for the company.
Exploring procurement synergies within the Cathay Pacific Group as well as with associate companies.
Assisting in the development of creative and innovative approaches to the market which:
Promoting the value of our business to suppliers;
Accessing supplier innovation and benefits, if possible, before the competition;
Maintaining maximum independence and opportunity for future flexibility;
Minimizing risk exposure for the company.
Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
University graduate; With Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement or a related discipline will be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of related working experience, preferably in a F&B, Catering, Fresh Food industry.
Hands on experiences in procurement (i.e. Supply market analysis, cost evaluation and contract management).
Possess relevant professional qualification would be an advantage (e.g. CIPS).
Familiar with the category economics and operating model.
Strong negotiation, influencing and commercial skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively develop relationships with cross-functional teams and at a multiple organizational levels.
Ability to work independently and strong mathematical abilities & computer skills.
Effective leadership skills.
Fluent in spoken English, Mandarin a plus.
