Finance - Subsidiary Finance Business Partner

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all finance related activities for the subsidiary.

  • Develop, drive and manage corporate and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment of these to the overall strategic direction of the company.

  • Oversee the strategic planning process for the subsidiary to develop short and long-term forecasts for the business. Define data and inputs required from the central finance team to support the planning cycle.

  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new initiatives / strategies and regulatory action, and their financial implications.

  • Develop and implement finance strategies, governance and internal controls in support of the vision, mission and service development of the business.

  • Identify and deploy new ways of working within own subsidiary in order to realise business benefits, and KPIs set, including working closely with the centralised finance team.

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting and tracking of the financial performance of the company.

  • Set out subsidiary needs and KPIs for central finance team to deliver against.

  • Align with central finance team on appropriate service levels and agreements, track performance, and address any gaps.

  • Set risk management and insurance strategy. Monitor and resolve all risk, insurance and legal related issues impacting the business, including liaising with central finance team as needed.

  • Manage working capital, working closely with central finance team.

  • Optimise the financial resources of the company and drive the momentum for continuous improvement with respect to financial systems, procedures and internal controls.

  • Work with the central finance team to ensure effective and efficient finance and accounting work processes are aligned and consistent across all the subsidiary businesses.

  • Design and maintain appropriate financial models to enable relevant information to be processed and delivered in a systematic manner to facilitate decision making.

  • Ensure effective control and governance of financial data privacy to reduce risk of data infringement.

  • Review and ensure proper finance related policies, procedures and work flows to ensure efficient and effective reporting mechanisms are in place.

  • Oversee external audit process in conjunction with the central finance team and corporate governance matters, to ensure compliance with the required accounting standards and ordinances and tax, and adequate internal controls are in place.

  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, preferably Master Degree of Business Administration or related disciplines.

  • 10 years or more relevant working experience with at least 5 years in managerial role in accounting profession.

  • At least 5 years related experience in relevant type of company.

  • Strong work ethic, detail oriented and good time management.

  • Proactive with strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese preferred.
