Customer and Commercial - Head of Commercial

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to achieve revenue targets and maximise third party business contributions.

  • Lead sales and business development efforts to secure new contracts and expand existing customer portfolios.

  • Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives to maximise revenue streams for all four subsidiaries.

  • Identify new market opportunities, including service extension and diversification.

  • Negotiate high-value contracts and strategic partnerships with customers and stakeholders.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and build networks.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, addressing their needs and resolving escalations.

  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to improve service standards and customer experience.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales campaigns and strengthen our brands.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

  • Develop and manage the commercial department’s budget, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.

  • Collaborate with finance teams to forecast revenue, track performance metrics, and report on commercial outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all commercial activities.

  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines.

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in commercial and/or business development fields, including 3 years at managerial level.

  • Candidates with experience and network in aviation industry (cargo, ground handling, catering and/or laundry) have a definite advantage.

  • People-oriented leader with strategic thinking and strong entrepreneurship skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with excellent planning and organisation skills.

  • Strong negotiation, influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, energetic and customer-oriented.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
