Collective efforts in embedding sustainability into daily operations recognised

We are pleased to share that Cathay Dining has received the Silver Award (Manufacturing Sector) at the BOCHK Corporate Low-Carbon Environmental Leadership Awards 2025. Organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong), this award aims to promote active participation in environmentally conscious practices among the manufacturing, services and property management enterprises in Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta (“Pan-PRD”) region to further reduce environmental footprints in these communities.

Reaching the podium in this competitive award for the first time reflects our efforts to embed sustainability into our operations. These include redesigning our warewash system with first-in-town inbound food waste segregation features, improving the air-conditioning efficiency of our building, and progressively upgrading refrigeration systems across our catering fleet.

Our sustainability initiatives also aim to create a positive impact beyond our own operations. In collaboration with a local school and an education centre, our team organised coastal clean-up and mangrove learning activity. This hands-on activity provides our colleagues, students and their families with valuable opportunities to learn about local biodiversity and low-carbon lifestyles.

This recognition acknowledges the collective efforts of our colleagues and partners in putting sustainability measures into practice across our operations. We will continue working together to advance our sustainability journey.
