Supervisor

Culinary Product and Process Department

Responsibilities

  • To support chefs and dietitians in relieving administrative tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations and hygiene standards

  • Assist in food research and development to aid the team in providing quality, cost-effective, and innovative food products and process solutions

  • Help in developing departmental standard operating procedures, managing recipes, and maintaining data to ensure accurate yields and methodologies for all relevant processes

  • Contribute to achieving departmental key performance indicators such as food quality, consistency, customer feedback, food safety, and food cost variance

  • Aid in maintaining the recipe database, including accurate yields, methodologies in both Chinese and English, and specification mappings

  • Participate in product development sessions and menu presentations

  • Assist with data input and maintain an organized filing system

  • Streamline product variations and complexities at the meal component level

  • Adapt to changes in a dynamic and evolving business environment

Requirements

  • Secondary School, tertiary vocational School, or Hotel School with a diploma in Food and Nutrition/Food Science/Food Safety

  • Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of the F&B industry, preferably with experience in retail food and packaging product development

  • Minimum of 2 years of practical exposure in culinary administration positions or related disciplines

  • Experience in retail food and packaging product development is preferred

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools

  • Positive attitude and sense of responsibility

  • Approachable and enjoys working as part of a team

  • Capable of working under pressure and handling ad-hoc tasks
