Planning and Digital - Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Planning and Digital Department, Cathay Subsidiary Services provides services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, Hong Kong Airport Services Limited. and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
Responsibilities
Gather data from various sources, clean, and integrate it to form a unified and consistent data set for analysis.
Design the data interface among different systems and information sources following the principle of one single source of truth.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision-making and performance monitoring.
Implement and promote best practices and standardization in data collection, analysis and presentation design.
Apply advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in the data that can inform decision-making.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT, finance, and operations, to ensure data accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely and accurate data updates for dashboards.
Provide training, support, and mentorship to Business Intelligence team and end-users on dashboard usage and interpretation.
Continuously improve data analysis processes and dashboard designs based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Oversee and manage the work of junior team members, ensuring quality and timely completion of tasks and projects.
Any ad hoc duties or projects.
Requirements
University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
5+ years of working experience in data analysis and dashboard development.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (such as R or Python) and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlikview).
Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and mentor team members.
Experience managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
