Procurement - Direct Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing direct procurement for fresh food/goods as well as supply chain and logistics with a focus on developing clear insights into the supply market and in turn formulating relevant strategies to ensure that the centralised procurement support function is extracting maximum value from the supply base.
Responsibilities
Define and implement a comprehensive direct procurement strategy for the assigned categories.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends which may have positive or negative impacts developing strategies to leverage or mitigate these.
Lead engagement with departments and teams internally, constructively challenging requirements as well as identifying and capitalising on synergies identified.
Develop and execute negotiation strategies for key high value/volume contracts and tenders within assigned remit.
Oversee the performance of the supply chain & logistics team ensuring that assurance of supply is protected at all times.
Appraise, manage, motivate and develop direct reports providing sufficient levels of support to enable successful category management.
Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
University graduate in a relevant discipline.
Minimum 5-years’ relevant experience.
Procurement & category management knowledge a must.
Experience in procurement of fresh food/goods with detailed knowledge of both the Hong Kong and overseas markets is desirable.
Personable with strong leadership and people management skills.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of accounting principles.
Ability to inspire and foster trust and respect amongst colleagues, peers and key stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
