Customer and Commercial - Assistant Business Development Manager/ Account Manager, Aviation Commercial (HAS)

Customer and Commercial Department, Cathay Subsidiary Services provides services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, Hong Kong Airport Services Limited. and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.


Assistant Business Development Manager/ Account Manager, Aviation Commercial - Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (HAS) provides professional commercial and key account services. This includes ensuring contract renewals for all existing customers, developing new business with existing and/or potential customers, key account servicing to ensure sustained service performance, maintain excellent customer satisfaction and maximize the yield for the subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Actively explore and solicit business opportunities to optimize business performance.

  • Be responsible for overall and assigned sales, contribution, and renewal KPIs.

  • Develop medium- and long-term commercial strategies having identified potential business opportunities and analyzed the commercial implication

  • Identify and recommend solutions to existing and potential customers according to their needs and requirements.

  • Evaluate resources spent in operation and analyses the business impact through resources projection and cost calculation for discussion with management and decide negotiation approach to customers.

  • Act as the contact point for business enquiries from existing and potential customers.

  • Responsible for the commercial activities for Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (HAS) or Cathay Cargo Terminal (CCT), and account management coordination activities with internal and external concerned parties.

  • Review contracts, service level agreements and tender documents to maximize the benefit and yield for Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (HAS) or Cathay Cargo Terminal (CCT).

  • Participate in commercial negotiations – i.e., contract pricing, incentives, service terms and conditions – to ensure customers do not go to competitive tenders.

  • Prepare business proposals and quotations in responding to RFQ, RFI and RFP or other business enquiries as required.

  • Maintain good relationships with customers and commercial related business partners to ensure effective communications.

  • Provide sales forecasting and business intelligence to formulate market insights.

  • Attend industry events and networking groups to build relationships with key prospects.

  • Handle customer enquiries and manage the relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Identify customers’ needs, confirm requirements, develop plans, and follow through with various internal departments to provide excellent products and services to our customers.

  • Perform any projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines

  • Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in commercial, business development and/or key account services fields, including 3 years at supervisory level.

  • Candidates with experience and network in aviation industry (air cargo, cargo terminal, ground handling) have a definite advantage.

  • Experience in contract review and commercial negotiation

  • Good business senses, commercial awareness, planning skills.

  • Strong in negotiation, influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Work independently, self-motivated, proactive, energetic and customer oriented.

  • Outgoing and willing to learn and take initiatives.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.

  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Business Development Manager.
