Procurement - Indirect Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of and overseeing the implementation of value-based indirect procurement strategies to meet business goals of subsidiaries.

  • Manage implementation of category specific plans and sourcing to deliver value at optimal spend cost.

  • Provide indirect procurement leadership across subsidiaries, contributing to the development of the most appropriate organisation to deliver procurement needs of the business.

  • Identify new ways of working and capabilities needed to be developed in order to implement indirectnon-food procurement strategies and plans. Work with the procurement and subsidiary leadership teams to implement changes and enablers required to deliver business value and KPIs.

  • Oversee the source-to-pay process in the procurement cycle.

  • Ensure full understanding of business needs, as well as supplier marketplace in order to develop and implement appropriate non-food procurement approaches.

  • Cultivate procurement team capability, including sponsoring appropriate talent and resources for procurement functions and initiatives

  • Manage high priority strategic purchases.

  • Identify non-food procurement opportunities for value creation and lead the company to pursue best practice non-food procurement.

  • Contribute to identification and design of IT requirements for supporting the procurement needs, driving work efficiency, safe-guarding procurement governance.

  • Measure and manage procurement performance.

  • Control the price level inflation of indirect purchases for the company.

  • Roll out a mechanism to select appropriate suppliers.

  • Develop and maintain a wide selection of pre-qualified suppliers.

  • Measure and manage the performance of the procured products.

  • Propose, lead and participate in cross-functional strategic projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in purchasing & supply or related subject or Business related subject desirable.

  • Experience in developing / leading an effective procurement function.

  • 5 years or more experience in procurement, including experience in a managerial role .

  • Experience in category and contract management, and supplier management

  • Experience in transformation in procurement, and how to deliver change

  • Strong team leadership and coaching skills

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills

  • Strong commercial acumen
