Planning & Digitals - Roster Planner (1-Year Contract)
Planning and Digital Department is under Cathay Subsidiary Services umbrella providing services Cathay Pacific Airways Limited’s subsidiaries including Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, Hong Kong Airport Services Limited and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain staff schedules and rosters by considering factors such as operational requirements, employee preferences, skill sets, and availability;
Issue roster plan in predefined timeline, communicate schedule and roster information to employees in a timely and efficient manner, addressing any questions or concerns;
Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained by monitoring and adjusting rosters to accommodate changes in demand, employee absences, or other unexpected events;
Collaborate with People and Operations departments to ensure that staff schedules and rosters adhere to labour laws, organizational policies, and collective bargaining agreements, including working hours, rest periods, and overtime rules;
Continuously analyse and improve scheduling processes, taking into account employee feedback, operational needs, and resource constraints to maximize efficiency and employee satisfaction;
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing rostering processes, tools, and methodologies, and recommend improvements to optimize resource management.
Requirements
Tertiary education or 3+ years experience in in rostering, scheduling, or a similar role, preferably in aviation or logistic fields;
Proficient in MS Excel, experience in rostering software;
Highly initiative and strive for continuous improvement;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.
