Engineering - Technician (Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Services)
Engineering Department, Cathay Subsidiary Services provides services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, Hong Kong Airport Services Limited. and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
Responsibilities
Ensure maintenance and overhaul plan for ground services equipment/ vehicles/ production/ automation/ building facility etc. to be conducted in timely manner and reduce the major business impact due to failure of critical systems and equipment
Conduct functional tests and quality control to ensure proper repair and maintenance work completion
Provide on-site engineering, technical and administration support on repairs and maintenance
Keep tidiness & cleanliness of engineering workshop
Support logistic and management of spare parts / materials for repairs & maintenance
Supervise and monitor sub-contractors to ensure their works meeting the SLAs
Work under the direction and supervision of engineers and supervisors, to perform repairs & maintenance work
Maintain updated repairs & maintenance record, produce and generate reports as directed by supervisors
Coordinate with outsourced contractors and user departments for the repairs, annual inspection & relevant license renewal
Coordinate with internal and external parties during emergency breakdown maintenance for equipment & facility. Follow up with contractors to ensure their timely attendance of all faults, diagnosis, estimated downtime and corrective action follow-up
Support the sourcing & reorder spare parts
Implement safety initiatives directed by superior
Conduct additional projects / duties as directed by superior
Ensure engineering systems and equipment are complied with the regulatory requirements of Hong Kong
Requirements
Form 5 graduate and Certificate of completion of apprenticeship in the field of mechanical / electrical recognized by Technical Institute or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Holder of Grade A Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (applicable to Facilities Management or Building Services)
Holder of Driving Licence (#1, 2 & 18), and preferably holder of driving licence #10 (applicable to Vehicle and Fleet Management)
Preferably, holder of EMSD registered vehicle mechanic (Class M or E) (applicable to Vehicle and Fleet Management)
Preferably, holder of forklift licence, and welding licence
Good Interpersonal skills and good written and communication skills
Work independently and result-oriented
