Engineering - Technician
Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
Responsibilities
Ensure maintenance and overhaul plan for ground services equipment/ vehicles/ production/ automation/ building facility etc. to be conducted in timely manner and reduce the major business impact due to failure of critical systems and equipment.
Conduct functional tests and quality control to ensure proper repair and maintenance work completion.
Provide on-site engineering, technical and administration support on repairs and maintenance.
Keep tidiness & cleanliness of engineering workshop.
Support logistic and management of spare parts / materials for repairs & maintenance.
Supervise and monitor sub-contractors to ensure their works meeting the SLAs.
Work under the direction and supervision of engineers and supervisors, to perform repairs & maintenance work.
Maintain updated repairs & maintenance record, produce and generate reports as directed by supervisors.
Coordinate with outsourced contractors and user departments for the repairs, annual inspection & relevant license renewal.
Coordinate with internal and external parties during emergency breakdown maintenance for equipment & facility. Follow up with contractors to ensure their timely attendance of all faults, diagnosis, estimated downtime and corrective action follow-up.
Support the sourcing & reorder spare parts.
Implement safety initiatives directed by superior.
Conduct additional projects / duties as directed by superior.
Ensure engineering systems and equipment are complied with the regulatory requirements of Hong Kong.
Requirements
Higher Diploma education, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering is a plus.
Candidate with lower academic background but with more related experience will also be considered.
Knowledge on repair & maintenance scheduling, monitoring and quality control.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
